"HappyI try to provide educational articles throughout the year to help you make sense of financial planning, so that you can secure the best possible future for yourself and your family. Now, as we approach Thanksgiving and the holiday season, I want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you to my clients for your continued confidence and support, and thank you to my readers for your encouragement and feedback. I am grateful for the chance to get to know you and for the chance to provide a positive service in your life.

On Thanksgiving Day, we have a family tradition of asking what each person is thankful for. My kids sometimes roll their eyes at this, but I think it’s so important to cultivate the value of thankfulness throughout our lives. Even during hard times, we can always find the good, even if it’s just the knowledge that you can survive something that seemed impossible. By turning stress and worry into positive energy and action, it’s possible to accomplish amazing things and to stick through the toughest of times.

As I like to say, there’s no do-overs in life, so we might as well go through it being happy and grateful. I find as I get older (46), life seems to accelerate, so I have always told myself not waste any time dwelling on the negatives, and instead I try to focus on what I’m thankful for – especially during this time of year.

So I leave you with this question: what are you thankful for this year?

Happy Thanksgiving! May it be filled with close family, great friends, and peacefulness.

Warmest Regards,

Brad
